Student Members Wanted Now! In case you are not aware, our Chapter recently received funding approval from IMA National for our student membership drive that is underway. This funding can be up to $1,465 this year! We need to make this a success in order to prove that this investment by IMA National is well spent. We need your help to make this happen! We had a pizza party for students and had great attendance! The next step is for us all to make the students feel welcome at our meetings by interacting with them. Please make an effort to introduce yourself with a happy face ? to a new face, and encourage new faces to become regular faces! We had several new guests and potential members visit us from Owensboro, Kentucky at our October dinner meeting. If they can make the trip, so can you! 

Congratulations to USI students! For the fifth consecutive year, USI won the Indiana CPA society contest! After five years in a row…can we call this a tradition? Not sure about that, but I am sure we can call this an awesome job well done! ? 

Past Presidents, please come out in full force for our November dinner meeting…Past President Recognition Night. Come and show your support for the present, while we recognize our past! 

Ethics opportunity – Please read this newsletter for an opportunity to attend two hours of CPE credit. This is a reporting year, so you better get it while you can!
 

No CPE day on November 8, 2008 – The tentative November 8th CPE day has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts, please make a note of this. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
 

We have several fundraisers underway (i.e. poinsettias, shirts, etc.). Please support these so we can have the funds needed to make this a great year for all of us. WE are the Evansville Chapter, not I, but WE, WE means all of us…it takes all of us to get things moving! 

Are you bored? Well, then maybe you should be come part of our Board ?. We need your insight and as we grow, so does the excitement and possibilities!
