Purpose:
The
purpose of the Outstanding Member Award is to promote more
active participation in every phase of Chapter
activity by all members of the
Evansville Chapter.
Period of
Competition:
Competition begins May 1, 2007 and closes April
30,2007.
Eligibility:
Any Evansville Chapter member in good standing (except
President,
Vice Presidents, Treasurer, and Secretary elect, as
of May 1, 2006).
Scoring:
The member accumulating the most points (providing he or
she has
participated in at least five of the ten
activities) is the winner.
Awards:
A Certificate of Recognition and $100.00 in cash will be
awarded to the
member with the highest final standings.
Rules Committee:
Consists of at least three former presidents, whose
decisions
will be final in settling any questions which might
arise pertaining to interpretation
of rules or method of scoring.
Rules:
The Board of Directors of the Evansville Chapter has
approved the
rules.

ACTIVITIES
INCLUDE

|
|
1.
Member
Acquisition
Securing
and sponsoring new, regular, and associate members: 25
points for each member secured.
|
|
|
|
2.
Monthly
Meeting Attendance
For
each noon or evening meeting attended up to a maximum of
15 meetings attended: 25
points will be awarded.
|
|
|
|
3.
Manuscripts
For
manuscripts written and submitted by members and accepted
by the Manuscript Director: 50
points will be awarded.
If
a manuscript is published in Management Accounting:
another
25 points will be awarded.
Note:
For manuscripts written by two or more members in
collaboration, points will be allocated equally.

4.
CMA
/ CFM Programs
a.
Attainment
of Certificate in Management Accounting:
100
points will be awarded.
b.
Attainment
of Certificate of Financial Management:
100
points will be awarded.
c.
Participating
in and completing a Chapter or Company sponsored CMA/CFM
Review course: 25
points will be awarded.

5.
Publicity
For
items of publicity originated by a member and submitted to
the Publicity Director, credit
will be awarded on the basis of 10 points for each item
submitted.
The publicity item must be an article about a
member of the Evansville Chapter of IMA appearing in a
publication or the company by which the member is
employed, or any fraternal, school, or other publications,
including local and suburban newspapers.
The article must mention IMA to receive credit.
The article must be a publication clipping
submitted to and acceptable to the Director of Public
Relations.

6.
Special
/ Social Activities
Includes
activities such as: Plant
visitations, golf outing, and other social events
sponsored by the Chapter (dances, game trips, theater
parties, etc.): 5
points will be awarded for each activity attended.

7.
Newsletter
Credit
will be awarded for unsolicited news items submitted in
writing to the Communication Director and published at the
discretion of the Communication Director, in the Chapter
Newsletter on the basis of 5
points for each item published with a maximum of 15 points
per month.

Communication
Director not eligible.
b.
Authors
or regular features not eligible for those submissions.

8.
Community
Projects
For
activities in connection with projects sponsored by the
Chapter, 10 points will be awarded to any one member for
each activity during the chapter year.
This would include assistance with J.A., telethons,
workshops or seminars for small business, not for profit,
and minority organization, etc.

|
9.
Other
IMA Functions
For
attendance at an official function of IMA other than the
Evansville
Chapter, credit of 5 points will be awarded.
Excludes anyone serving in an official capacity
(Guest Speaker, Council Delegate, or National Director,
etc.) at said function.

|
10.
Educational
Seminars
Enrollment
and attendance in any IMA sponsored seminar or self study
course (local, regional, or national) 5 points per credit
hour.
Note:
Chapter Directors receive no credit for attendance
at LTS sessions, Chapter Management Seminars, and chapter
board meetings, however, points will be deducted from
board members as follows:
a.
Absence
from LTS or CMS – deduct 10 points
b.
Absence
from chapter board meetings – deduct 5 points per
meeting missed.
